American National Carbide (ANC) recently expanded its Houston, Texas scrap recycling facility, making it one of the largest carbide recyclers in the world with the capacity to process over 1 million pounds of scrap carbide per year. The expansion is the culmination of a two-year, multi-million dollar investment and includes new equipment as well as advancements in recycling technology. ANC offers a recycling program through which carbide manufacturers can have their scrap processed and returned to them as useable raw material, and carbide users can redeem their scrap for credit or cash.
