AMT Announces International Staff Promotions
Two new directors will oversee the Asia/Pacific and Latin America regions.

View MoreAMT–The Association For Manufacturing Technology (McLean, Virginia) has announced a new organizational structure for its international operations. Xingbin Li, previously AMT’s general manager for China, has been appointed international director of the Asia/Pacific region, and Carlos Mortera, previously AMT’s general manager for Mexico, has been appointed international director of the Latin America region. The new international team will be responsible for marketing, members’ business facilitation and operations, and both international directors will report to Steve Lesnewich, vice president of global services.
Mr. Li’s oversight of the Asia/Pacific region includes AMT’s two Technical Centers in Shanghai, China, and Chennai, India. He will also be responsible for guiding AMT members in the United States through the process of evaluating and planning how to market products within Asia, as well as facilitating market entry and participation through a variety of channels. Mr. Li has been with AMT for more than 20 years.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mortera’s oversight of the Latin America region includes AMT’s two Technical Centers in Monterrey, Mexico, and Sorocaba, Brazil. Mr. Mortera will also continue to facilitate AMT member participation throughout the region, increase focus on the Brazilian market, and oversee the development of a new AMT members’ demonstration area at FACENS, an engineering university also located in Sorocaba. Mr. Mortera has been with AMT for more than 12 years.
