Absolute To Distribute Tongtai Product Line
Under a new, exclusive partnership, Absolute Machine Tools (Lorain, Ohio) will import and distribute machine tools from Tongtai Machine & Tool Co. (Kaohsiung County, Taiwan) throughout its North American distribution network. Steve Ortner, president of Absolute, says the partnership will expand the company’s product offerings and allow it to target new markets.

Under a new, exclusive partnership, Absolute Machine Tools (Lorain, Ohio) will import and distribute machine tools from Tongtai Machine & Tool Co. (Kaohsiung County, Taiwan) throughout its North American distribution network. Steve Ortner, president of Absolute, says the partnership will expand the company’s product offerings and allow it to target new markets.
Absolute adds the Tontai line to its other Taiwanese machine tool offerings, including Johnford machining and turning centers, the Hi-Net line of high speed machining centers, You Ji vertical turning centers and Ecoca CNC turning centers. The line includes a full range of VMCs; HMCs with 400- to 1,250-mm pallets; CNC milling and tapping centers; five-axis, trunnion-type machining centers; and both standard and multifunction turning centers.
