Absolute Machine Tools Forms Partnership with Scytec
Scytec’s data collection software will now be available on CNCs offered by Absolute Machine Tool.
Absolute Machine Tools has partnered with Scytec Consulting and will begin offering Scytec’s data collection software, DataXchange, with its portfolio of CNC machines. Adding value to products sold by Absolute Machine Tools is key to Scytec’s digital transformation partnership strategy, the company says.
Scytec was formed in 2001 as a software development firm with the aim to improve, innovate and create a competitive edge for machine shop end users. Founded by Steve Ortner and Hayden Wellman in 1988, Absolute Machine Tools Inc. has become a major importer and global distributor of CNC machine tools. In the three decades since it was founded, it has been helping machine shops and manufacturing facilities improve production processes.
Scytec says its partnership with Absolute Machine Tools aligns with its mission to leverage data collection for manufacturing, moving it toward the next big step in digital transformation. The partnership will benefit both companies, as it allows them to capitalize on each other’s strength and experience, the company says.
Absolute’s addition of the DataXchange communications system to its capital equipment is said to benefit end users. The system is a cloud and on-premise OEE and analytic manufacturing machine monitoring system. It boasts modern features like Microsoft Teams integration, which Scytec says speaks to the system’s flexibility and adaptability.
