ABB opened a local service office in Sulphur, Louisiana, near Lake Charles in April 2015. The office will provide services and support for the group’s automation and power portfolio including control systems, instrumentation, analytical products, low-voltage drives and power systems. The office is staffed with engineering, support and training personnel and will offer scheduled training as well as customized training courses.

Kevin Kosisko, Americas region division manager, process automation, says, “This office nicely complements our recent expansions in this area, including the Automation and Power Center in Houston and new level measurement factory currently under construction in Baton Rouge.”

An April 15 open house featured a variety of the group’s automation and power equipment including wireless communications, measurement and analytical products, gas-insulated switchgears, protection relays, and other control and power products.
