Zoller Announces its Toolroom of the Year Winner
The manufacturer of presetting, measuring devices and tool management software held its 2024 Toolroom of the Year contest for all of its customers to showcase their use of the company’s technology.
The contest’s first prize is a trip for two to Zoller’s German headquarters. The second prize is a Tool Cabinet Keeper (as shown to the right in this photo) and the third prize is a tool cart.
Earlier this year, Zoller, manufacturer of presetting, measuring devices and tool management software, held its Toolroom of the Year contest for all of its customers to showcase their use of the company’s technology. The winners will be announced at Zoller’s booth in the West Building on Thursday, September 12.
That meant everything from using a Zoller tool presetter to optimize production to gaining complete control over tooling with Zoller’s tool management systems to automating processes with Zoller’s automation solutions. Customers answered about how they have streamlined processes in their toolroom or shop and could upload shop photos.
The eight-person judging panel consisted of Zoller personnel and a few principals at leading manufacturing companies. That panel considered criteria such as organization and setup; interfaces to software such as CAD/CAM or ERP; interfaces to storage systems; how quickly and easily tools are available; connectivity/data exchange with CNC machines and other areas of production; and more.
The contest’s first prize is a trip for two to Zoller’s headquarters in Pleidelsheim, Germany. The second prize is a Tool Cabinet Keeper and the third prize is a tool cart. All winners will be featured in upcoming videos, too.
