Peter Zelinski speaks about the adoption of Additive Manufacturing technologies.

Peter Zelinski, editor in chief of Additive Manufacturing Media

How widely is additive manufacturing (AM) being used as a part-production technology, and by how much will the use of AM for part production expand in the coming years? More specifically, who is using AM for production and what AM processes are they using? Peter Zelinski, editor-in-chief of Additive Manufacturing Media, addresses questions like these in a talk he will give on the Formnext Stage: “The State of AM Adoption and What It Reveals: Findings From a Survey of Manufacturers.”

Zelinski will give this talk on Wednesday at 10:30 am. The Formnext Stage is in the West Building, booth 433010.

He will discuss findings from an extensive survey about additive manufacturing conducted by Gardner Intelligence, and what these findings reveal about (for example) the link between AM and vertical integration, and the path from 3D printing for prototyping to AM for end-use production parts.

The Formnext Stage is hosted by Formnext Chicago, the additive manufacturing trade show coming to McCormick Place April 8-10, 2025.

Other upcoming speakers on the Formnext stage are from Women in 3D Printing, ASTM, the AM Coalition, America Makes and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Go to IMTS.com and search “Formnext Stage” for the full schedule.
