View MoreSiemens Digital Industries Software is introducing the NX X manufacturing software, a cloud-based CAD/CAM solution for part manufacturing. It is now accessible via the cloud, which can enhance operational efficiency for companies of all sizes. A feature of the Siemens Xcelerator as a service cloud-based portfolio, NX X Manufacturing delivers software as-a-service (SaaS), enabling manufacturers to free up resources. By leveraging the power of cloud technology, Siemens can enable part manufacturers to access their CAD/CAM software anytime, anywhere, while maintaining data security and compliance.
According to the company, the flexible and streamlined deployment models enable organizations to install NX X Manufacturing on the desktop or stream via AWS cloud services. Tailored to address specific production needs, NX X Manufacturing can offer different levels of cost-effective solutions based on user needs, with additional CAD/CAM capabilities, including:
- Automated programming, aiming to cut programing time by up to 90%.
- Advanced toolpath technologies to reduce machining time and improve part quality.
- Integrated G-code-driven machining simulation for error-free machining.
- Industry-leading CAD capabilities for CAM programmers.
Additionally, NX X Manufacturing delivers cloud-based ad hoc data sharing and collaboration through the Teamcenter Share app. Siemens plans to include additive manufacturing and metrology capabilities to NX X Manufacturing, along with fully integrated and secure data management using Teamcenter X software.
