Tooling For Turning

Kennametal’s 800-page turning catalog contains information on new product offerings as well as classic tooling selections designed to increase accuracy and productivity in turning, grooving, cutoff and various other turning center applications. Among the new additions are the PCBN program, which includes solutions for turning hardened steels and powdered metals, and cermet grades such as the KT1120, which features a micro-grain structure for toughness and longer tool life in steel applications. Featured carbide grades include the KC9210. Designed for stainless steel, this grade offers improved wear resistance for extended tool life at low speeds, reduced depth-of-cut notching and more.
