IMTS 2024 marks the debut of the Supertec Mini Genie compact CNC cylindrical grinder equipped with a FANUC robot for automation. Supertec says that the Mini Genie, with its small 7-foot by 7-foot footprint, is ideal for shops with limited floor space. It handles a wide range of materials, from soft alloys to hard ceramics, making it versatile for several industrial applications. The integration of the FANUC robot, says Don Staggenborg, Supertec’s national sales manager, facilitates automated loading and unloading to boost productivity and efficiency. Staggenborg says that the new robot-assisted Mini Genie significantly reduces cycle times and addresses the industry’s increasing demand for automation due to the scarcity of skilled machinists.
Supertec’s IMTS booth will also showcase a variety of other advanced grinding machines, including a centerless grinder, a surface grinder, a rotary grinder and the new G25P-75CAM grinder. Staggenborg says that the array of machines on display at IMTS 2024 demonstrate the company’s broad product range and its focus on a wide spectrum of customer needs.
Daily Giveaways and a New Look at IMTS
Supertec’s booth is also showcasing an updated look this year — just be on the lookout for the massive backwall display of sparks flying from spinning grinding wheels. Visitors to Supertec’s booth can receive daily giveaways by following Supertec on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Visitors who follow the company on one or more of these platforms will also be entered into a raffle to receive a grand prize at the end of the show.
