Additive Manufacturing Conference issues call for speakers, Mazak makes big “smart factory” investment and other manufacturing industry news.
The call for speakers has opened for the 2019 Additive Manufacturing Conference, taking place August 27-29 in Austin, Texas. The newly expanded event focuses on industrial applications of 3D-printing technologies for making functional components and end-use parts.
“Our growth has come in large part because of the knowledge, quality and insight of our speakers and presenters,” says Peter Zelinski, content director for the conference. “As we expand the conference this year, we’ll keep our focus on carefully building a valuable conference program addressing important aspects of AM.”
Additive Manufacturing Conference attendees represent companies ranging from multinational original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to independent contract manufacturers in industries ranging from aerospace to medical to consumer products producers.Attendees include business owners, executives and engineers. The one commonality is their interest in evolving their application of industrial additive manufacturing technologies.
The deadline for papers is April 19, 2019. Abstracts should be 200 to 300 words and can be submitted online here.
