IMTS Results Are In

IMTS gets a lot of attention because it is such a comprehensive gathering of the latest metalworking and manufacturing technology. That is its big draw for attendees.  However, IMTS is also widely viewed as a window into the industry as a whole.

The just-released IMTS 2010 Post-Show Report contains colorful charts that analyze the makeup of attendees, along with key facts and figures about this year's show. For example, you’ll find the info about turning and machining centers on the chart of Product Categories of Interest.

Exhibitors should be pleased to note that 21 percent of visitors were from corporate management and that 46 percent had the ability to purchase, according to an interpretation of the data in a recent IMTS Insider newsletter. The newsletter also reports that sign-ups to secure floor space at the 2012 show are well underway.
