An EROWA ERC 150

The EROWA ERC 150 is new to the U.S. market, being an upgrade to the company’s existing ERC 80 platform. This new machine line can handle transfer weights nearly twice that of its predecessor. Image courtesy of EROWA.

EROWA is showing updated, more powerful machines at its IMTS 2024 booth. Two media walls showcase highlights from among the company’s automation products, as well as its other work handling machines and its precision workholding devices.

The company’s primary focus is on its EROWA Robot Compact (ERC) 150, an upgrade to its existing ERC 80, which EROWA Sales and Marketing Specialist Bob Davila says is the company’s most popular automation product. This line of machine is a compact robotic platform that can service up to two machines with its pallets. The numbers in the ERC’s name indicate the machine’s weight limit in kilograms — Davila says the upgrade from 80 kg to 150 kg is a direct response to customer requests.

Meanwhile, the EROWA Lift is a standalone unit that users can operate to lift heavy pallets and work pieces from worktables into machines or pallet pools. The model of the EROWA Lift at IMTS this year can handle loads of up to 250 kg normally, or 100 kg if using an extended arm.

EROWA is also showing off its range of products for precision workholding. This includes specialized tooling systems for EDM, as well as base plates, clamping plates and more for a variety of milling and turning operations.

Visitors to the booth are also able to rest in a lounge area, where EROWA is offering coffee, water and other beverages.
