Additive manufacturing (AM) technology company EOS is welcoming AM users and newcomers alike to its booth. Visitors can learn how laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) works, investigate materials for AM and get a look at two EOS metal 3D printers — the larger M400-4 and the AMCM M 290 FLX. The latter features two AFX-1000 lasers from nLight, and is equipped at the show with the Dual Setup Station developed with Grenzebach, which integrates two exchangeable build frames so that parts can be automatically unpacked and depowdered as the next print begins.
For those ready to dive deeper with specific questions, EOS invites visitors to its AM Expert Bar. Attendees can book 20-minute time slots to discuss AM design, materials, machines or applications, regardless of their level of familiarity or adoption. The AM Expert Bar aims to meet visitors where they are, say Jenna Phillips, marketing communications specialist, and Patrick Boyd, marketing director.
“We invite people to bring their parts and say, ‘This is what we’re producing today. How would you do it additively?’” Phillips says.
The AM Expert Bar covers a variety of AM considerations including design and application engineering. “We can help with everything from what’s possible with additive, to part selection and specific materials, to how people can try out AM without owning the equipment,” Boyd adds.
Book a time at the AM Expert Bar online at gbm.media/IMTSEOS2024 or by scanning the QR code posted at the booth.
