When Jason Hudkins saw his business making parts for the automotive industry begin to decline in 2007, he decided to make a dramatic change. He shifted his business not only away from automotive, but also away from contract machining. Today, the shop makes its own product—a line of bows. The name of the company has become Athens Archery, with many of the same pieces of equipment that used to make auto parts now producing the new product. Hear Mr. Hudkins describe his shop’s transition in this video, produced by Haas Automation.
