View MoreIn 2020, Advanced Industrial Management Systems (AIMS) Metrology expanded its line with the Summit 10.10.10, developed for high volume, large parts inspection. Its full range of turnkey five-axis coordinate measuring machines, the Revolution Series Summit 10.10.10, LM and HB, are designed to provide flexible three-dimensional inspection of small to large in-process and post-process parts on the shop floor, in the lab or in an automated cell.
AIMS designs its CMMs to integrate with Renishaw five-axis probe technology. The development of the OEM’s newest CMM, Summit, was prompted by customer requests for large inspection capacity, improved with REVO-2’s latest sensors such as RVP vision and SFP2 surface measurement. AIMS’ lab-grade LM also offers multi-sensor capabilities with REVO-2, which provides measuring speeds up to 500 mm per second and data collection rates of up to 4,000 points per second for increased part throughput. The mobile HB, fitted with a 5-axis PH20, can be placed on or near a production line to provide dimensional verification and process flow monitoring in real time. AIMS tailors its CMMs to customers’ software requirements with MODUS, Verisurf or CMM Manager.
AIMS’ proactive business model seeks to support job shops and manufacturers on another front by maintaining a stock of parts to assemble machines. In addition to custom orders, AIMS builds machines without purchase orders to help to try and counter the parts shortage and supply delays. AIMS also provides installation, calibration, service/support and training.
