Dürr Ecoclean Makes Buying Cleaning Technology a “Snap”
Dürr Ecoclean is rolling out its SnapPlanner 3D virtual planning tool at IMTS to help machining manufacturers select the ideal cleaning technology based on a number of input factors, including equipment cost, personnel, number of shifts and other variables.Once this data has been entered, the SnapPlanner software then calculates load and basket sizes, volumes, and weights for the various cleaning machines so that Dürr Ecoclean can help manufacturers make complex capital equipment buying decisions more manageable.The company says SnapPlanner’s focus is tailored to the industrial parts cleaning customer rather than the larger automotive systems customer.

The company says SnapPlanner’s focus is tailored to the industrial parts cleaning customer rather than the larger automotive systems customer. The software application developed for this market—as well as for IMTS attendees—enables customers to compare different cleaning machines and evaluate them based on critical factors like throughput, labor costs and number of shifts.
Dürr Ecoclean says this analysis enables customers to consider different machines and production scenarios to see how these choices will impact their bottom line as measured in their cost-per-unit.
Also on display in the company’s Booth E-5267 is EcoCBase C2/P2, part of Dürr’s Green Degreasing family of environmentally friendly washers, which is ideal for the removal of oils, greases, emulsions and chips, or when parts must be totally dry. Dürr says the C2/P2 machine avoids the environmental complications associated with traditional vapor degreasing.
