Hannover Messe USA 2022:

Monday, Sept. 12 – Wednesday, Sept. 14 | 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | West Building Level 1

The Hannover Messe USA 2022 Conference expands this year from a one-day program to a three-day long seminar.

Attendees have five different topic tracks to embark on at the conference. These tracks include topics such as motion, drives and automation. This year, Hannover Messe is also bringing new topics to the table based on audience wishes and timeliness. New topics this year include Industry 4.0, industrial 5G, cybersecurity and supply chain.

The selection of these topics is based on the desire to curate a thorough program covering current manufacturing concerns across the board and providing solutions to these challenges. The conference is intended to supply attendees with knowledge of solutions and how to implement them.

In addition, the East Building of McCormick Place will be hosting the Hannover Messe 2022 show alongside IMTS. Featuring spotlights on Industrial Supply USA, Surface Technology USA and Integrated Automation, Motion and Drives, Hannover Messe USA brings insights and innovations to the table through this co-located show.

IMTS 2022 Conference:

Monday, Sept. 12 - Thursday, Sept. 15 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | West Building, Rooms W192-A, W192-B, W192, W192-C, W193-A, W193-B, and W194-A

Featuring 71 different, board-selected sessions over the course of three days, IMTS 2022 presents an assembly of industry innovators, leaders and experts providing practical, palpable solutions for companies and businesses across the board. The selected experts are all from companies exhibiting at IMTS.

Topics at the conference include innovation, quality and inspection, automation and plant operations. Other subjects being addressed include improvement of productivity and part quality and the development of a work force that lowers the cost of manufacturing in the U.S. and creates new levels of market demand. These topics were chosen due to their relevance in shaping the future of manufacturing in the years to come. Knowledge of these solutions is aimed at helping attendees immediately put these into practice in their shops.

IMTS Job Shops (Monday):

Monday, Sept. 12 | 11:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. | South Building, Grand Ballroom S100 A & B

On Monday, the IMTS Job Shops’ first workshop features a presentation on workforce development and retention. This presentation addresses a question facing job shops today: How should today’s job shops deal with the ongoing challenges of workforce and retention as they continue to hit the manufacturing industry?

The afternoon sessions continue with a focus on digitization in traditional job shops. Manufacturing industry leaders discuss what it takes for job shops to join the “Digital Industrial Revolution,” as they share strategies, successes and lessons learned from their own digital transitions.

The first day of the job shops program concludes with a roundtable discussion about marketing in manufacturing, hosted by the Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA).

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce as March 2021, women make up about 30% of the near 16 million people employed in manufacturing industries. To celebrate, uplift and highlight the underrepresented women in the industry, the IMTS Women Make Manufacturing Move program enables networking within the community through its series of curated sessions, meet-ups, programming and receptions.

The program begins with the IMTS Women Make Manufacturing Move Reception. This time can be used to socialize and make connections with others in the industry while enjoying refreshments and light snacks. Getting to the reception early has its perks too! The first 100 attendees will receive IMTS THRIVE giveaways.

Then, join the IMTS Women Make Manufacturing Move Luncheon. Enjoy lunch while listening to industry thought leaders provide helpful tips and advice on an array of different topics. Speakers include Lisa Block on improving company culture to promote a positive workplace environment; Lisa Woodruff on developing habits that clear your head for problem-solving and help get your to-dos done; and Jenny Drescher and Ellen Feldman Ornato on defeating imposter syndrome and creating a space to empower and value women’s contributions in the workplace. In addition to the speakers, lunch and networking possibilities, access to exhibits on the show floor is provided.

Finally, take advantage of Women Make Manufacturing Move’s Take 5. The complimentary lounge provides a place to stop and recharge after the long week with a variety of refreshments and healthy snacks. Offerings include coffee, tea and seltzers.
