Fagor Automation introduces the 8060 FL CNC with the Multi-Axes Box (MAB). The 8060 FL follows the popular 8055 FL CNC configurations as a compact, modern CNC product for traditional lathes and milling machine configurations.

Standard features include a complete library of canned cycles for milling and turning. The MAB offers compact flash expansion capability plus two USB ports, with one located on the keyboard for easy access. The Process Informer feature supports the ability to automatically text or notify the user of CNC conditions in a lights-out machining situation. In addition, a free off-line simulator is offered with each unit that can assist in quotations and off-line program creation. With IP65 (NEMA 12) sealing as standard, the design is built for the shop floor environment. Other features include Ethernet capability and probe input.

The Multi-Axes Box consolidates the management of the servo and spindle drives. Designed as an ultra-compact box, the MAB is a solution for two-axis turning and three-axis milling machine configurations. Offered with both regenerative and non-generative drives, the MAB can contain servodrives ranging to four axes (or three-axis servodrives plus a spindle). The MAB has the capacity to easily handle even moderately sized machining and turning centers, the company says, with the ability to handle 15-kW (20-hp) spindle motor systems and 23-Nm servomotors.

For fast initial machine integration, the PLC Wizard program tool enables the machine’s I/O to be configured quickly and easily. Parameter management is laid out for a hassle-free default conditions setup.
