The Downdraft workstation collects fumes, smoke and particulate from a range of metalworking operations. Applications include traditional and plasma cutting, grinding, sanding, polishing, deburring, soldering and shot blast.
The model is engineered to aerospace specifications; it captures aluminum, magnesium, zirconium, beryllium, titanium and other dusts, as well as ordinary metal dusts with at 0.5 microns.
The company says the Whirl Wet dust collector uses a minimal amount of water and energy, while operating at low noise levels. Multiple workstations can be ducted to one dust collector when needed.
Ten sizes are available, ranging from 1,200 cfm to 6,000 cfm. The maximum work surface capacity is 250 lbs per sq. ft. Options include tool storage, lighting and messaging systems.
