Available as an alternative to laser cutting, Bystronic's Byjet 3015 abrasive waterjet cutting system is designed to produce clean, burr-free cutting edges that normally require no refinishing. Available with a shuttle table and swing-arm loader, the waterjet is able to machine various flat-sheet and tubular materials without heat-induced structural changes.
Featuring a high-precision tool (HPT) cutting head, the waterjet is available with a rotary axis for tube-cutting applications. The company says its custom AC direct drives provide precise positioning accuracy at high acceleration rates for machining intricately shaped parts and contours.
