Designed for transmitting and monitoring cooling water flows in machining and fabricating applications, the CoolPoint vortex shedding flowmeter is available in pipe sizes ranging from ¼” to 2”, providing flow rates from 4/10 gpm to 200 gpm.
The flowmeter is primarily used for monitoring flows of water, water-based machine coolant and water/glycol coolant. Repeatability is ± 1 percent of the actual flow, which provides the consistency required for cooling flows in abrasive machining and metal fabricating. This capability can be used to provide cooling water to transformers, cables, coils and other equipment.
Having no moving parts to stick or coat, it is suitable for transmission of recycled and filtered coolant that may contain particulates.
Other applications include heat treating, mold making and resistance welding equipment such as electrode tips, cables and transformers.
