Videoscopes Enable Inspection in Harsh Environments
The Iplex RX and RT industrial videoscopes from Olympus enable remote visual inspection of workpieces and areas that are difficult to reach.
The Iplex RX and RT industrial videoscopes from Olympus enable remote visual inspection of workpieces and areas that are difficult to reach. The videoscopes feature an ultra-bright LED light system and high-resolution CCD chip controlled by the PulsarPic image process to render clear, sharply defined images. The processor is designed to reduce noise and sharpen images, resulting in high-resolution images for inspecting in low-light conditions. The LED illumination system is said to be nearly twice as bright as conventional videoscopes, and dynamically adjusts light output to reduce halation from metal or reflective surfaces.
The videoscopes are durable enough for use in harsh environments and well-suited for applications where operator access is limited, such as airplane fuselages and wind turbine gear boxes. Compact and field-portable, they feature 6.5" screens with anti-reflective daylight-view monitors for accurate inspections even in direct sunlight. Most operations and features can be accessed via the quick-access buttons on the ergonomic, lightweight handset.
Both videoscopes record high-quality JPEG images and AVI movies directly to a removable USB flash drive. The Iplex RX features a wide, dynamic extended range (WiDER) image processing capability that brings out detail in shadowed and highlighted areas to produce bright, contrast-based images. User-selectable color and sharpness settings enable customization for the application. The InHelp inspection-assist software streamlines data and organizes stored images to improve work efficiency and simplify inspections.
