An ASM high-end milling module replaces the previous Surface Machining Wizard module for surface machining of free-form shapes. According to the company, the module enables faster toolpath calculation, greater tool control and improved surface finishes. The module’s milling strategies can be applied across the entire suite of PartMaker CAM applications, including PartMaker Mill, PartMaker Turn-Mill and PartMaker SwissCAM. Existing PartMaker users can upgrade to ASM free of cost.
The company has also released 2013 updates to several of its other products, including a continuous toolpath for PowerMill and improved turning and turn-mill modules for FeatureCAM.
