In addition to the Dapra Corporation’s standard Button inserts, which are suitable for various applications, High-Feed and 90-degree Toroid models are now offered.
Useful for pocketing, core/cavity roughing, face roughing and ramping/helical interpolation, the High-Feed inserts feature a cutting geometry that enables cutting feed rates as high as 600 ipm.
The latter of the two models perform many square shoulder applications, for which square corners are included. These inserts offer an economical solution for profiling, slotting, step milling, plunge milling, face milling and helical interpolation of cored holes, the company says.
