Hassay Savage offers four-point or two-point broaches useful for for producing titanium and stainless steel bone screws on CNC lathes . The broaches can maintain a tolerance of 0.0005", the company says. In addition, distributing cutting pressure among the two or four points can increase tool life.
A division of Hassay Savage, Magafor, offers a line of Micro Tools that is designed for micro-machining titanium and stainless steels. The Micro Reamers are offered in diameters ranging from 0.008" to 0.375" in 0.0004" increments. The Multi-V, which performs eight separate functions, is particularly useful for the medical industry, the company says. The solid carbide Micro Reamers feature a left-hand spiral and right-hand cut for through holes. In addition, the company offers a line of Micro-NC spot drills and Micro End Mills. The drills are available in sizes ranging from 0.02" to 1" in diameter and the mills are available in sizes ranging from 0.002" to 0.2323" in diameter.
