Tools Add Flexibility To CAD/CAM Software

Tools released by Kubotek USA for its KeyCreator product are designed to provide industrial designers with greater flexibility to create shapes without restrictions. Add-on functions include a curve deform tool, which allows dynamic modification of any wireframe curve, and a smooth tool, which enables designers to fix continuity problems in 3D models. A deform surface tool enables dynamic modification of 3D shapes with one surface or multiple surfaces.

 

Other notable tools include a reshape tool designed to facilitate the global modification of 3D shapes. Using a before-and-target set of curves or edges, designers can make various versions of one model or modify existing models at any point in the design process. A recover tool is designed to fix problem surfaces quickly. It works on any trimmed (N-sided) or untrimmed surface by utilizing a set of user-defined parameters to rebuild the surface automatically.
