The Quick-Change Varia toolholding system from ITI Tooling is designed to improve the productivity of CNC lathes. Rather than replacing the tool by removing it along with the toolholder or live spindle unit, the workholding system only exchanges a small tool head and cutting tool while large toolholding fixtures and heavy spindle units remain on the lathe. The fast, flexible system accommodates interchangeable tool heads including V3 (VDI 30), V4 (VDI 40) and V5 (VDI50), as well as base mount tooling (BMT), and can be used on a variety of base units and tool spindles.
