View MoreThe Groovidex integral style toolholders allow the company’s grooving inserts to be used without an insert cartridge. The corresponding line of grooving inserts is engineered for cutting shallow grooves in various applications. Each insert provides four edges for cutting grooves, which is said to reduce the cost per edge and make the grooving operation more economical. According to the company, if one edge of the insert fails, the others are unlikely to be affected. The stability of the insert is established by the insert screw and the design of the toolholder and is independent of the insert edge. The line of inserts for these toolholders is available in many widths and grades, including metric sizes.
