The Next Generation Of Feed Units
Share
The company is offering Rail-type feed units with the characteristics of machining centers. Preloaded, low-friction rails in the feed axis have "zero" deflection over the full travel length. The preloaded spindle with precision ABEC 7 angular contact bearings are equipped to handle high feed rates. The company says this combination of elements offers improvements in tool life, with higher feed rates.
The models range from micro-hole drill units with quick-change collets to 40-taper spindles with 7.5 hp. The travel (stroke) can be customized to suit the application. Pneumatic feed or leadscrew (for tappers) is standard. All models are available with preloaded ballscrews for feed control.
According to the company, the product line can be adapted to any servomotor and its controls.
