The RCT (reduce cycle time) line of tapping units is designed to allow high tapping speeds through a low-impact cushioned drive. Its non-reversing coolant system is said to deliver high internal coolant pressure, while constant speed tapping provides longer tap life by not reducing speed in the middle of the cut. Machine spindle wear is reduced by eliminating two machine reversals per tapped hole. The tapping units use less energy for reduced power consumption costs, the company says.
