Tapping Attachments Reduce Cycle Times
Tapmatic’s RCT50 and RCT150 self-reversing tapping attachments for CNC machining centers are designed to reduce cycle time for high-production tapping.
Tapmatic’s RCT50 and RCT150 self-reversing tapping attachments for CNC machining centers are designed to reduce cycle time for high-production tapping. By eliminating machine spindle reversal, cycle time is dramatically improved while power consumption can be reduced by as much as 75 percent, the company says. The tapping attachments also save wear and tear on the machine caused by stopping and reversing two times for every tapped hole.
Both models include a high-pressure internal coolant system. The RCT50 has an integral steep taper or HSK shank, while the RCT150 has a modular straight shank for large tapping applications, such as those required in the wind energy, heavy industry and power generation fields.
