Leaders-In background

Air Turbine Tools’ spindles are designed for improved machine feed rates, higher finish quality and reduced cycle times. The spindles operate at constant speeds ranging from 25,000 to 90,000 rpm at as much as 1.4 hp (1.04 kW), maintaining by a patented governor. TIR accuracy is 0.0002" (0.005 mm).

The turbine motor has no vanes, no gears and no brushes to thermally expand and burn up. The only moving parts are the turbine and the bearing sets, which results in less friction, less heat and increased life with fewer repairs. The spindles require no lubrication, using 90 psi (6.2 bar) of clean, oil-free air only.

An optional Toolchanger Mounting Assembly (TMA) also is available to automatically load the spindles in CNC machines.
