The expanded Micro Line spindles for Swiss turning features 20-, 22- and 25-mm diameter models. The model HT 25S 60, which is 63.3-mm long, is suitable for space-constrained tool zones. Right-hand spindles are available. The spindles use synchronous, DC motors and operate at speeds as fast as 120,000 rpm. They are designed for machining applications involving micro-milling and drilling tools, as well as engraving and fine milling. They feature high rigidity and precision (less than 2 microns runout) to increase surface quality and machining accuracy, the company says.
The company also offers a rotary coupling system that enables the Micro Line high speed spindles to be used in turret-style machines. The rotary coupling provides support for all electrical and pneumatic requirements for the high speed spindles, with models available to support two or four spindles.
