Iscar’s expanded Chatterfree line of solid carbide, four-flute end mills includes smaller diameter sizes of 0.125", 0.157" and 0.188," as well as a larger 1" diameter. Used for roughing and finishing operations, the end mills’ variable pitch is said to dampen chatter. The end mills are suited for low-power machines with ISO40, BT40 or CAT40 adaptations and can be used for full-slot machining at depths ranging to 2×D.
According to the company, the end mills maximize material removal rates and reduce cycle time. Their ground geometry is said to provide quality surface finish and increased tool life.
