Ikegai Corporation’s TU30 CNC lathe with slant-bed features a rigid, four-way bed and a 6" (150-mm) diameter main spindle. The stepless spindle speed changes in low-speed range and high-speed range (between 6 and 2,500 rpm). The 45-degree slant-bed facilitates efficient chip disposal, and doors open from both sides to ensure easy operability, the company says.
Other features include an NC panel that slides to the right or left to provide operational convenience as well as an independent cutting-fluid tank. Also, a 12-station, drum-type turret allows the lathe to machine irregularly shaped and standard workpieces.
