Leaders-In background

Although they operate similarly to large hobbing machines, Liebherr Gear Technology’s LK series gear skiving machines are more rigid and are equipped with more powerful spindles. To ensure the speed necessary for skiving, the table is direct-drive and works via automatic control. A clamping fixture links the workpiece and the machine.

The series is supplied on a turnkey basis with individual clamping fixtures for each workpiece to ensure rigidity and contour accuracy.

The LHGe@rTec control system contains mathematical formulas for pressure angle corrections. This enables quality improvements via the kinematics of the series.

An optional toolchanger contributes to fast changes between roughing and finishing tools. A ringloader serves as the workpiece changing device.

The LK 300/500 machines feature the following capabilities: a module capacity of five, maximum gearing diameters of 300 and 500 mm, maximum workpiece diameter of 500 and 600 mm, maximum table speeds of 3,000 and 1,500 1/min, a maximum tool diameter of 250 mm, a maximum tool speed of 2,700 rpm, and a maximum spindle output of 32 kW.
