The MarSurf M 400 skidless surface evaluation system from Mahr features motorized probe height adjustment said to automatically zero the probe in seconds. The system features a magnetic, breakaway probe-mounting system that protects sensitive probes from damage and facilitates fast probe changes.
The measuring unit can be used alone in different orientations, in combination with various accessories and mounted on a measuring stand. A large color display on the evaluation unit provides clear, concise results and intuitive operator guidance. According to the company, the unit is compatible with all appropriate DIN, ISO, JIS, ASME and MOTIF standards for the measure of the most common surface-finish parameters from the P, W and R profiles.
The system includes the M 400 evaluation unit with integrated thermal printer. Bluetooth connectivity is available with the SD 26 drive unit with breakaway BFW 250 probe system and standard probe arm. Battery or AC adapter operation extends flexibility, and two USB cables enable connection to a PC for optional use with the drive unit.
