Renishaw's XR20-W wireless rotary axis calibrator is designed for use with the company’s XL-80 and ML10 laser measurement systems, together offering automatic measurement of rotary-axis positioning performance with traceable ±1 arcsecond accuracy. According to the company, the calibrator’s smaller and more compact package simplifies setup and enables users to test more and different machine tools. It also features Bluetooth technology, avoiding the challenges of setup with cables and fixturing and enabling safer testing. Optional off-axis rotary software enables use of the calibrator even when it cannot be positioned directly on the rotary axis under test.
