The company has equipped the C 600 U machining center with a NC-swiveling rotary table that is 280 mm in diameter. The new table design features a swiveling range of 230 degrees, which improves positioning and machining times in five-axis and five-side machining.
Using a planetary gear and a driveshaft, the A axis has been modified and outfitted with a peripheral spur wheel to achieve the range of ± 115 degrees. According to the company, modifications made to the gantry design of the machine and the swiveling rotary table, in addition to relocating the C axis drive, allows for operational freedom in the work area.
