Range of Superabrasive Tooling Offered
Engis offers a range of superabrasive tooling for use in machining centers.
Engis offers a range of superabrasive tooling for use in machining centers. The tools undergo an electroplating process to firmly anchor the diamond and cubic boron nitride (cBN) particles while providing maximum particle exposure. According to the company, this process enables longer tool life, improved part quality and reduced change-overs.
Available tooling includes diamond bore-finishing, diamond milling and diamond routing tools. The tools can be used with standard toolholders and are suitable for applications such as the manufacture of engine blocks, diesel injectors, pump bodies and hydraulic components. Engis also offers ElectroMill diamond and cBN-plated wheels for high-volume finishing applications. The wheels are suitable for ferrous, nonferrous and exotic materials, and can be applied in the marine, small engine, automotive, off-road, agriculture, aerospace and defense industries.
