Designed for large workpieces, Weiler’s VOM 50 radial drill machine can perform drilling, reboring, countersinking, thread cutting and other operations. The machine is equally suited for one-off production, serial production and production lines, the company says.

The main components of the machine frame are made of grey cast iron. The base has a large surface for mounting workpieces, tables and fixtures. The hardened spindle is built for accuracy, the company says, and the machine column can be swiveled mechanically or manually. According to the company, control panels are organized and easy to operate.

The drill is designed to meet the working capacity, accuracy, efficiency and setup speed requirements of jobs involving heavy and sizeable components. Potential applications include components for forming machines, turbines, generators, compressors, various steel constructions, boilers, containers, chemical equipment, cement works furnaces, ships and more.
