New design features expand the application flexibility of the THW-plus quick jaw lathe chuck by improving productivity and enhancing operator safety.
The chuck was designed with a larger through hole, improved grease retention and better sealing against particle/coolant intrusion. Other new features include saw installation safety supported by an internal interlock preventing the removal of the chuck wrench without the quick-change jaw properly installed. After proper installation, the chuck wrench is automatically ejected from the chuck body.
The chuck's jaws can be exchanged in less than a minute. Gripping force is maintained up to 6,000 rpm with a wedge bar actuation system.
