The company has announced the introduction of its new Hawkeye MicroSlim precision borescope. At less than 73 thousandths of an inch in diameter, the MicroSlim is now the "slimmest" model in the Hawkeye line.
The company says the MicroSlim's small diameter and image quality make it useful to manufacturers of fuel injectors, hydraulics and pneumatics, and miniature valve manifolds by allowing fast and reliable visual inspection of microscopic openings in metal machined parts.
This borescope uses the company's next-generation endoGRINS lens relays. Because of the low dispersion of these new lenses, even a scope in this micro diameter range now delivers larger, brighter images, at a lower cost, according to the company.
