The TAC-80 series of precision abrasive cut-off machines features length tolerances maintained to within +/- 0.003, and produces up to 400, '/2" diameter bars per hour with a 4AA finish.
Minimal kerf, typically 0.03" to 0.05", and consistent length accuracy offer direct material savings on precious materials as well as common metals, the company says. Secondary finish operations are eliminated, and savings continue through subsequent operations as consistent lengths reduce machining requirements.
Alnico, Inconel, Titanium, case-hardened materials, drawn extrusions, thin-wall tubing and virtually any other material can be cut without burn or surface hardening, according to the company.
