Leaders-In background

Abtex Corporation has expanded its Tri-Ten planetary head deburring system to include a return-to-operator (RTO) configuration. The series is designed to deburr both sides of a part in a single pass, whereas previous systems had been flow-through configurations.

The system is designed for applications that require a small footprint and portability. A magnetic conveyor passes the part through an offset planetary deburring head, where three fiber abrasive brushes deburr the upward-facing surface. The conveyor then carries the part to a mechanism that flips it onto a parallel magnetized conveyor that transports it back through the planetary head and deposits it at an opening next to the entrance.
