Leaders-In background
Ingersoll’s Gold-Duty family of CNMX and SNMX turning inserts with HB chipbreakers are designed to deliver low cutting forces and quality surface finishes in medium to rough machining applications. According to the company, the unique seating configuration provides double-sided insert economy.

The chipbreaker is said to provide steady chip evacuation and prolongs tool life. Four rest pads on the top and bottom sides of the insert enable the cutting edge to be raised above the top surface. This lowers cutting forces and increases chip flow, even at large depths of cut, the company says.

The company says the exclusive lever on its H-type holders provides multi-directional clamping force and stability. It adds that the fast-indexing clamping system eliminates the need for top clamps that can wear out due to chip wash.
