Sescoi’s WorkNC Version 21 with 64 bit, multi threading and parallel processing is said to enable machinists to program faster. WorkNC provides two-axis through simultaneous five-axis collision-free programming, including the Auto-5 module, which enables users to mill an entire part in five-axis with the shortest cutter possible, as easily as programming in three-axis, the company says.
Global-roughing and continuous-finishing milling routines are designed to keep the tool in material, generate smooth cutter trajectories and eliminate shock loading of the tools. Utilizing smooth transitions and sharp-corner reductions, these cutter paths, and others are designed for high speed machining.
Automatic toolholder collision avoidance, not just collision checking, as well as full machine simulation and collision checking enable lights-out machining.
