Quick SPC for Windows version 3 is a suite of software products from Marposs designed for measurement and inspection data acquisition and management. Framed in a wizard-driven user interface, the SPC and quality control software uses add-ons for gaging applications in specialized industry segments. These include gears, fuel system components and other precision manufacturing applications.
The software’s remote programming feature enables the quality manager to program and upgrade all applications running on the shop floor from a central, remote location. The software’s gage messenger utility facilitates two-way communications of application and fixture databases to keep shop floor and programming stations synchronized.
The software’s application explorer provides a single entry point to all Quick SPC modules, which is said to improve the user friendliness of application management. It enables easy conversion of applications created with previous versions and simplifies application comparison and error detection, the company says. The application explorer can connect plug-and-play or traditional plug-and-say devices; improve application backup and restore functions with integrated compression split and join of the backup files; and improve closed-loop tool compensation (feedback) capabilities to compensate process flow of machines in both parallel and serial configurations.
