View MoreThe ConSep Plus and MagSep Plus are single-platform chip handling, coolant recovery and monitoring systems. The modular, expandable units provide automatic, precise control of volume and conditions of water-soluble cooling and lubricating fluids in metalworking machine tools, the company says. The ConSep Plus can be used with stand-alone machine tools or with cell or FMS configurations. In addition to handling virtually all types of chips, it can be used to monitor, control and regulate fluid values to optimize coolant performance in a variety of processes and applications, the company says. It can also be fitted with an optional high-pressure coolant package, which includes the AT Cleaner, a media-free filtering module with 10- to 15-µ level filtering. The MagSep Plus is a dedicated system for handling cast iron chips and fines. It is outfitted with the coolant management function and can also be fitted with an optional high-pressure coolant package and AT Cleaner. Both units can sense the machine tool load and automatically change belt speed, which is said to minimize coolant loss from chip carryout. The technology in the units continually monitors and records the state of liquid in the coolant tank. It keeps track of volume, temperature, concentration, pH, conductivity and more. These measurements are compared with preset values, and a signal notifies when an out-of-range variance is recognized. Mixing and auto-fill processes are available to maintain desired values. The company also offers a compact FastPac briquetter for chip reduction and a VacuFilter fine particulate coolant cleaning system for grinding, honing and parts washing.
